Wilkes Community Partnership for Children recognizes Early Childhood Teacher for January

Wilkes Community Partnership for Children presented Jennifer Black, teacher at The Children’s Center of Wilkes, with a door plaque in January for her work with young children.

Wilkes Community Partnership for Children has a recognition program for child care teachers based on observations by the Partnership staff of outstanding achievement in child care. Each month a teacher is presented with a door plaque with the teacher’s name in appreciation for the dedication to the children they serve. In January, Wilkes Community Partnership for Children recognizes Ms. Jennifer Black. Ms. Black is the infant teacher at The Children’s Center of Wilkes.  During her Environmental Rating Scale Observation she scored a 5.48 out of 7.00.  Her hard work and deep compassion for teaching is reflected by her score.  Ms. Black recently attended training on Indoor Bad Weather Activities and has implemented indoor activities for infants that were effective.  She truly takes the extra steps to be a dedicated teacher every day.
Wilkes Community Partnership for Children appreciates her dedication to serving children in Wilkes County. Wilkes Community Partnership for Children, a local Smart Start agency, is a United Way partner agency.
